Gleim & Young Community Fund

This fund was established in 2015 in order to support a wide variety of charitable causes.

Donor Story

Sandra “Sandy” Gleim has dedicated nearly two decades of her career to supporting good works and positive impact in La Porte County through her leadership and work with Healthy Communities of La Porte County, La Porte County Drug Free Partnership and Unity Foundation of La Porte County. She has also been a strong community volunteer through La Porte First United Methodist Church, area theater groups and La Porte Service League. Sandy wishes to honor the communities’ outstanding nonprofits by helping provide grants “forever”. Her parents (Bill and Ruth Young) and her in-laws (Joe and Barb Gleim) also were formative influences for her and her husband, Rick, and they especially supported food-based charities. The Gleim & Young Community Fund will benefit generations to come through helping a wide variety of local projects and causes.
