Fund Story

William J. Priebe & Marie (Bagrukovich) Priebe were born and raised in Michigan City, Indiana. A banker and his wife set off down the road of life. Bill, as his family and friends called him, attended Notre Dame University where he received a degree of Law. He went on to become the Vice-Presient and Trust Officer for First Merchant National Bank with distinction and success ultimately until his death in 1979. Marie attended Elston High School where she sang in the Glee Club and was a member of the National Honor Society. She went on to work at the South Shore as a ticket counter and at First Merchant National Bank as a secretary. Bill and Marie first met while they were both working at the South Shore. They married and had two children. Marie was active in her children’s schools, sang in the church choir and was involved in several organizations until her death in 2015.

Together or apart they traveled the globe and saw many things. They enjoyed each others company. They loved their children, family and friends.

This memorial was started by their loved ones to benefit charities that were near and dear to their hearts.
