Fund Story
Reins of Life is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities through equine-assisted services. Established in 1978, it operates two facilities - one in Michigan City and one in South Bend, serving nearly 450 participants per month.
Reins of Life’s services include therapeutic horseback riding, equine-facilitated psychotherapy, interactive vaulting, therapeutic carriage driving, K-12 school programs, and more. Additionally, they offer specialized programs for veterans and individuals with behavioral or emotional challenges. All of their programs are geared to enhance current therapies while encompassing an adventure-based environment that teaches to all learning styles and levels.
