Unity Foundation Accepting Community Grant Applications
MICHIGAN CITY, IN —Unity Foundation of La Porte County is accepting applications online for its 2021
Community “Power for Good” Grants through Friday, July 23, 2021.
Eligible applicants include nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations located in, or serving La Porte County residents. In
addition, churches may request funds for non-religious purposes, such as community programs or projects.
Governmental bodies, including townships and fire districts, as well as educational institutions, are also eligible.
Interested applicants are encouraged to review the information available on Unity’s website,
https://uflc.net/grants/community-grants/, prior to beginning an application.
Community “Power for Good” Grants are made possible because of generous donors who are interested in
investing in the well-being of our county. A committee of dedicated volunteers from throughout the county
evaluates and awards grants of up to $3,000 each for projects that strengthen La Porte County in meaningful
ways. In 2020, Unity awarded nearly $150,000 to worthwhile projects and programs in the arts, the
environment, health and human services, education, and community development through the Community
Fund Grant process.
