STAR Center Provided Five Thousand Dollars of Meeting Space in 2018

Five agencies. One Shared Technology and Resources Center. Amazing outcomes!

In May, Healthy Communities, Unity Foundation, United Way, The Drug Free Partnership, and
Meridian Health Services will celebrate two years of working together at the STAR Center at 422
Franklin St, Michigan City.

STAR Center partners have experienced the transformative power of collaboration both in cost
savings and in the value of working together. In addition, these organizations have supported many
of their own local non-profit partners by providing free meeting space for events such as trainings,
retreats, community communication sessions, and planning meetings. The over 100 hours of meeting
time provided results in an in-kind community donation of nearly $5,000!

Persons wishing learn more about the STAR Center should call 219-210-3189.
