Unity Foundation supports the betterment of
La Porte County in many ways. Often, this means stepping up as a connector when no one else is convening—bringing partners together, aligning resources, and advancing large-scale projects that might not otherwise take shape.

Unity is proud to provide the structure and shared vision that turn community aspirations into reality. Explore some of our leadership projects below.

Vibrant Communities of La Porte County is a community-wide effort to develop a unified vision to guide investment and decision-making in the coming decades.

In 2019, the communities of La Porte County joined together to develop a new, county-wide Action Agenda, available to view online here.

NWI Biz Hub is a gateway for entrepreneurs whose mission is to help small businesses in northwest Indiana thrive.

They provide entrepreneurs and small business owners with free, easy access to the vital assistance, resources, and information they need—when they need it.

The Home Team of La Porte County is a collaboration of organizations and individuals meeting together to help eliminate homelessness and poverty.

The Trail Creek Watershed Partnership (TCWP) is a collaboration of many public and private entities working to keep Trail Creek clean & cold. The Trail Creek Watershed is located in northern Indiana’s LaPorte County, and drains into Lake Michigan at Michigan City’s historic lighthouse and marina.

TCWP hosts annual events, including Trail Creek Week and Creekness Stakes. To join a monthly meeting or learn more, contact trailcreekwatershedpartners@gmail.com.
