“Fall Into Reading” at READ La Porte County, Inc.’s
10th Annual Scrabble Tournament
Take a break from Words with Friends to come make words for a good cause! READ La Porte County, Inc.’s 10th annual Scrabble Tournament takes place on September 26, 2013. Two-person teams will compete for prizes and bragging rights at the Best Western Plus La Porte Hotel & Conference Center. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the first round of play starts at 7:00 p.m.
The theme for this year’s tournament is “Fall into Reading.” Tournament attendees will enjoy delicious complimentary appetizers and a cash bar. We will also have a Silent Auction available for players and spectators.
The cost to play is $25.00 per person, and business sponsorships are also available. In addition to our traditional two rounds of Scrabble tournament play, participants can also join in our new “lightning round” for just $5.00 per person.
