Fund Story

The Westville Police Department has sought opportunities for many years to be able to extend their services beyond the badge. In recent years, the department has worked diligently to strengthen ties with the community, especially the youth. They have created a youth police-themed park, hosted movie nights for children, provided demonstrations to local schools, and worked alongside the Boys and Girls Club of LaPorte County to bring them into the Westville school.

The department’s goal is to continue community collaboration in the form of an academic scholarship. This is to ensure that those seeking a post-secondary education to one day serve their community have the ability to achieve higher education.
