Fund Story

Richard James Johnson, an original founder of the Indiana Dairy Producers and owner of Sunset Dairy, had a passion for Agriculture from a young age. He poured everything he had into growing Sunset Dairy, which became an award-winning farm for high milk production. Richard attended many farming and dairy conventions, which most often doubled as family vacations. He always strived to learn the latest trends in his trade. Farming was not only a business but was centered around family. Richard loved teaching his children and grandchildren all aspects of farming. Nothing made him happier than sharing time with his family working side by side on his beloved dairy farm. In his honor his family opened this Agriculture scholarship.
