Mickey Stisher was Director of Music for the La Porte Community Schools and Director of Bands at La Porte High School from 1988 until his retirement in 2019. La Porte is where Mickey and his wife Teri raised their two daughters Shauna and Lyndee.
The LPHS Bands were a huge part of the lives of the entire Stisher Family. Mickey could never have accomplished the goals of the band without the support of Teri. Shauna and Lyndee both played clarinet and were very active in the Color Guard programs with both ending their time at LPHS as Guard Captains.
Upon Mickey’s retirement it was the family’s desire to establish a fund to support projects that will benefit the La Porte High School Band and Color Guard programs.
